Totally get the Robert Pattinson thing now

Ok, so I totally, totally, totally get the whole Robert Pattinson thing now after finally sucumbing to the masses and watching Twilight. Oh my god he's amazing! I had read the book about 2 years ago and remember thinking it was slightly teeny and read as is it were an American blockbuster, well whaddy'a know - it now is! I can toally see the fascination with the storyline, vampires always manage to be quite sexy don't they. I think it's the whole sexual frustration thing of not being able to have what you really want and the neck being such an erogonous zone, mix that with a handsome, tall, very now looking young guy who even does that whole 'I'm a bit shy and misunderstood, broody' thing and females across the globe are hooked. Is it true do we all want to save someone? Are we looking for a man who is undiscovered, in need of saving, a bit geeky with amazing hair, body and fangs? Evidently so! Vanity Fair we thank you for your recent pics. Ahhhhh.....

A weekend in the North with little sis

Yipee it's Friday and I'm not at work, in the words of that song - what a feeling! On my way up north to see my beautiful little sister. I do love a bit of northerness after being in the big bad city for so long. Even though I'm really a Midlander I'd always say I'm more Northern than Southern although I know my cousins would have something to say about that! My dad is a Scouser though so I reckon I can claim it. A bit more friendly up there aren't they, although it does make me laugh when I'm accused of being posh as I don't really have much of an accent. It is there though I assure you, just ask me to say bus or mum and you can hear it loud and clear. And then of course down here everyone thinks I'm a bit northern, brilliant. Can't I just be me? I don't class people on where they're from. Apart from my Scandinavian mum whom I refer to ad Scandi and my kiwi friend whom I refer to as kiwi Alice. Oh wait, it looks like I do refer to peoples origins for classification, doh. Anyway up to the north I go, overpriced Christmas markets here I come!

Possible Christmas party dress?

Wow, imagine being able to wear a dress like this! Maybe not this year, although there's nothing wrong with aiming high ; ) Dress: Bordelle's Angela Cage bandage dress (picture from this morning's Metro)

Uh oh, it's party dress season, eeekkkk!

Ok so Christmas dress panic has officially set in. With the best holiday season coming in just a few short weeks this can only mean one thing - party dresses! It's all too easy to get a bit comfortable when the colder weather starts to hit. I would never dream of eating butter soaked crumpets slathered in marmite in the summer but somehow over the past weeks that's all I’ve wanted to do! I had 4 for my lunch on Saturday - 4! Yes 4. And if I'm honest which I really should be, I then proceeded to get so wasted on Saturday night that I lost all composure and sense of control that I ate pizza and fish and chips on Sunday. Oh my god even typing that makes me want to go anno, well not really but you know what I mean. So now I am left with just a few weeks within which to develop the body of Charlize Theron in that perfume add. Totally plausible given that I'm short and was blessed with pigs trotters for legs. Wish me luck!

Strange grave spotting behaviour, erm what?!

So, I know the girl who sits next to me is a little strange (in a good way most of the time) but I am very concerned by her lunch time activity today......wait for it......she's gone with a fellow colleague to look at a near by grave yard and has taken her camera for them to take photos, erm what?!!! Excuse me. Why would anyone do this? Should I be concerned? Is she planning to take a more permanent visit? What is the no. for Samaritans? She actually said 'oh but it's a really beautiful one' from which I, very cleverly, deduct that she does this regularly. Very strange, very strange indeed. Just thought I'd share, no no, no need to thank me ; )
Mmmmm mmmm mmmm just found the most gorgeous pasta stand in Camden market (actually a bit before the lock - the one near H&M) the poor little man had no one waiting at his stand so I diverted from the Jacket potato boys over to said man. I'm very glad I did, he cooked the pasta freshly for me along with the sauce, jsut one portion for little old me, then I was treated to a mass of fluffily fresh parmesan, cruched chilli and black pepper. And all this for a mere £3.80, bargain I hear you cry! Yes, a bargain indeed. Unfortunately ones salary does not allow for delights such as these to be endured every day so it's back to the pitta bread and humus tomorrow, wah wah wah
